They say that truth is stranger than fiction.  And, when it comes to fashion, that’s about right.  Manhattan is the epicenter of all things (and people) wildly creative and more than a little quirky.

The women here have a very particular relationship with our shoes.  We store an entire closet’s worth in our desk drawers at the office.  We never give up on the quest for ballet flats or kitten heels that can really hack the commute. We collectively keep Leather Spa (formerly Shoe Service Plus) on West 55th Street in business, “city-proofing” our pumps before they even touch the sidewalk.

I love Manolo Blahniks.  Always have, always will.  Here, a few of the ones that I covet.

Rachel!!!! You have awakened my soul and soles! I loooove your most recent post! Now, I am most attracted to those manolos with the crystal buckles, but also adore the green ones- the color is magnificent. The big question here is WHERE can I get my hands on them. As you know I am in coral gables where I am somewhat manolo deprived of the exclusive boutique variety. Hmmm were those pictures taken at bg or the salon itself? Who is youre contact? Daisy and I would love to say s&s sent us when inquiring! Xo
