In New York City, it’s all about location.
East or west? Uptown or downtown? Above or below 14th Street?!
Introducing SoulCycle’s newest NYC studio, which opened to much social fan fare (hello, #WVLG campaign) on Friday at 126 Leroy, next to Equinox Printing House in the West Village (Equinox bought SoulCycle in 2011, helping to grow the brand from 5 studios to 8 in NYC and Brooklyn, alone).
I stopped in for a class over the weekend with my friend Jeremy (last profiled here) and, unexpectedly, actress Liv Tyler. While smaller than I anticipated, the new studio’s energy was intense. And, as always, Jeremy rocked the house with his fierce attitude and killer playlist. My favorite song from his set: “Into the Light” by Sander van Doorn, DubVision & Mako (feat. Mariana Bell).
Forty five minutes later, I grabbed my Mavics, a stick of Orbitz at the front desk and left to stroll back to Chelsea in the sunshine–but, not before I popped into the photo booth to document my first WVLG ride and pose for a Polaroid, posted to the studio’s wall for all to see.
Sweat. Smile. SOLE.
See you there.
Wow! Cool! And loooove the photo booth pic!!!!!!x
